Versar, with headquarters in Springfield, Virginia, employs approximately 370 professional and support personnel in 13 locations nationwide. Approximately 20% of our current business supports homeland defense-related projects. About 65 percent of the staff have degrees in engineering, science, or other technical fields.We are currently supporting homeland security projects for the federal government, municipalities, and the private sector. For over 15 years, Versar's subsidiary, GEOMET Technologies, LLC has been at the forefront of development and fielding of chemical and biological personal protective systems, especially for use in military or immediately dangerous to life or health environments. Our capabilities also include coordinating extensive chemical, environmental, and security risk assessments for industrial processes, emergency response, and military applications.
