Versar Awarded Biological Laboratory Project in Texas
Versar is one of the few companies that integrates chemical and biological expertise, engineering and architectural design and construction, and environmental skills. The US Air Force has recognized this skill set recently in announcing an award of a task order valued at approximately $750,000 from the U.S. Air Force for the construction of an Epidemic Outbreak Surveillance Advanced Diagnostics Laboratory at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The laboratory will support the Air Force Surgeon General and Lackland AFB by utilizing advanced diagnostics for real- time identification for both common pathogens and bio-warfare agents. Completion date is June 30, 2004
